(28 Feb 2020) Israel’s Health Ministry announced Friday that a seventh Israeli had been diagnosed with the new coronavirus.
In a statement, the ministry said of the seven, two carriers had been on the “Diamond Princess” cruise ship.
Four had travelled to Italy and one had returned from Japan.
Most of the patients were placed in quarantine at Ramat Gan’s Sheba Medical Center, where a special treatment area has been set up to deal with the patients.
Galia Rahav, head of infectious diseases at Sheba, said that of the four patients that had been brought to the hospital as of earlier Friday, only one had symptoms.
