1,500 Palestinian prisoners in Israel launch hunger strike



Up to 1,500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails began an open-ended hunger strike on Monday, demanding better conditions in prisons, more contact with relatives and an end to Israel’s practice of detentions without trial, the Palestinian Prisoners Center for Studies said.
