Welcome to mental health Mondays the pop up shop. I am the locksmith because knowledge is the key and this is brought to you by the good people at study the Bible Not The Sermon.
This is Season 1 episode 8. Once again
I am Louie the LOCKSMIF, because knowledge is the key, and today we want to look at Spiritual War Fanatics!
Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you: But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2 Corinthians 10:1-4
Quick Question: What does this really mean? Does this mean that we get the flu or an ulcer that we should not seek out medical attention? Does that mean that the children of Israel don’t do emergency rooms in urgent care centers? I say that knowing full well that There are many Israelites and other Christians that will never go to the doctor for any reason at all whatsoever. How about if your foot gets broken? Or how about if you are an innocent bystander and you get shot in the shoulder? Do we take this scripture to mean that our weapons are not carnal therefore we should not bandage our sales and laying in a hospital bed or go through surgery to remove the bullet? If you are in a bad car accident and you get whiplash. You never go get checked out you just walk around with a little loose neck for the rest of your life like lil loose neck yeah I remember that joke? Of course that’s not what he means right. So what’s the big difference when something is broken or something is sick or something is plagued in our minds?
Question 2: what is a strong hold? A strong hold is a military term and is a place where at the Garrison is where it is set up for people not to be able to get in nor for things inside of the strongholds to be transferred outside. So that means you don’t go around yelling out and strongholds as if they are some demon flying through the air. No the strongholds are locked and hidden in between your ears. Check it:
📖Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
