systems and cRitical care) EU funded project, a simulation exercise was organized in order to demonstrate the procedures used by the Israeli hospitals responding to security-related mass casualty incidents.
The exercise was organized by the Emergency Management Division of the Israeli Ministry of Health and kindly hosted by “Meir” Medical Center in Kefar Saba.
The incident starts with a phone call to the dedicated “hot line” in the Emergency Department of the Hospital (usually from the National EMS – Magen David Adom, or from the National Health Emergency Operations Center), in this case of a bus accident with dozens of victims, among them pediatric patients.
