Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the IDF has been on the front lines supporting Israel’s national efforts to combat the virus and ensure the safety of Israeli civilians.
The IDF has developed innovative methods to combat COVID-19, including converting BiPaP home devices into ventilators, turning naval diving equipment into medical oxygen tanks, upgrading ambulances, and more.
The IDF has also worked on the ground throughout the pandemic to aid the civilian population by upholding strict guidelines for health and safety, providing manpower, and handling the logistics of treating patients.
Now, the IDF is the most vaccinated army in the world, with 83% of all IDF personnel vaccinated against COVID-19 as of March 2021.
